Teachers
must not "teach" opinions
Most kids in
this school will happily and loudly shout out their views when politics
are discussed. Most of the time, these debates are some of the most
interesting and memorable class periods we have. But sometimes,
some teachers tend to include their views in the discussions.
New
honors system failure on three fronts
For those of
you who don’t know me, I am an unabashed JDS fan. I love this
school’s commitment to pluralism, its wonderful Judaic studies
and its strong general studies.

It has been
an absolute pleasure to serve the JDS community this past year as
your Student Council co-presidents.

The Student
Council is to be praised for its efforts in orchestratingi the student
life of JDS this year with activities new and recycled, holiday
commemorations and thoughtful tzedakah projects, among other programs.
