Baseball: strong defense overpowered in championship
Entering the May 17 championship game, the Lions varsity baseball team felt ready to take a second stab at the pitcher who had shut them out in a prior meeting.

Track places in final
Junior Isaac Mizrahi clipped the top of the first hurdle in the individual 400-meter hurdle event at the championship track and field meet, fell to the ground and suffered a minor concussion and several bruises on his left side.
