The year of firsts brings BVB first place

The boys varsity baseball team became the first team in school history to win both the regular season and tournament championships, with a 4-3 victory over the Montrose Christian Mustangs on May 16.

GVS has lack of depth, early playoff exit

In reflecting on this year’s girl’s varsity softball season, both players and coaches alike agree that the team had numerous strengths, as well as many weaknesses, which they hope to work on for next year.

VTF unifies despite ‘disappoinment’

The varsity track team, coached by first year coach Jeffery Mehr, each finished near the middle of the PVAC standings. The boys varsity team finished in sixth place out of ten teams, and the girls team finished in fifth place out of nine teams. Although each team felt a measure of disappointment, both were more unified this year than in the past, regardless of the season’s outcome.

 

GMS loses in semis, falls short of goals

The girls middle school softball team entered the PVAC playoffs looking to follow up a successful regular season with a championship victory, but fell just short of its expectations, losing to the Edmund Burke Bengals in the semifinals, 11-10, on May 8.

BVV ousted in semis

Although the boys varsity volleyball team, had its eye on the championship, it finished the regular season with a 5-7 record, losing in the semi-finals to the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy Cougars, 12-0.


BMB fails to reach championship

The boys middle school baseball team finished its season with a record of 8-3 overall, losing in the tournament semifinals to the Covenant Life Cougars by a score of 7-4.
